10th European Composers Competition 2027

Composers are invited to apply for a place in the 10th European Composers Competition, to be held in Montreux, Switzerland in 2027 as part of the 48th European Brass Band Championships.

Duration

Composers are invited to submit an original composition for brass band of maximum 12 minutes duration.

The Competition

The competition will consist of one preliminary round and a final.
The final will take place 29 April 2027 in Montreux, where the new compositions will be performed by a championship section brass band.

Prizes

1st place               EUR 2500
2nd place             EUR 1500
3rd place              EUR 750
Band prize           EUR 500
Audience prize    EUR 500

All competitors who reach the final will receive a diploma.

Rules and invitation

Applicants must have been born on or after 1 January 1992.
Closing date for entries is 15 January 2027.
