About Brass Band Fribourg
Founded in 1970, Brass Band Fribourg (BBF) is one of Switzerland’s most established brass ensembles. Led by internationally experienced conductor Adrian Schneider, the band performs in the Excellence category—the highest level for brass bands in Switzerland.
The BBF brings together dedicated amateur musicians from the canton of Fribourg and the surrounding region. The ensemble regularly competes in Switzerland’s two most important national competitions: the Swiss Open Contest at the KKL Lucerne and the Swiss Brass Band Championship in Montreux. In addition, the BBF organizes a varied concert program with annual concerts, guest soloists, and a wide range of repertoires.
With innovative projects such as “Brass’and Arts,” the formation builds bridges to other art forms. The focus of all performances is always on the goal of evoking genuine emotions in the audience.
