This morning EBBA held their General Meeting in the Conference Room of Palaga Concert Hall.
They’ve elected Nigel Stevens as the new treasurer of EBBA, he will take over from Marie Bedford. We thank Marie for her dedication and meticulous work she’s done over the past few years. Also Pierre-Alain Steiner is formally elected as a member of the Executive Committee (EC).
The General Meeting gave the mandate to the Executive Committee to start final negotiations with the host cities, countries and organizations for 2027 and 2028. EBBC 2027 will be hosted by the Swiss Brass Band Association in Montreux (Switzerland). In 2028 the EBBC will return to London, Southbank Centre “Royal Festival Hall” for the 50th Birthday of the EBBC hosted by Brass Bands England.
2025 – Stavanger, Norway and 2026 – Linz, Austria were already confirmed.
